re:Invent 2021 AWS Cost Optimization Sessions
With over 60,000+ attendees, 50 tracks, and over 1,200 sessions to weed through at AWS re:Invent, it can be a bit overwhelming to figure out what sessions to attend.
If you are interested in sessions related to managing and optimizing your AWS cost, aka as Cloud Financial Management/FinOps, Mike Rosenberg posted on LinkedIn a helpful image of all the sessions related to the topic for us last week in one place:
In addition, the AWS Cloud Financial Management team is setting up a Kiosk in the expo hall. Their schedule in the export hall:
- Mon: 4-7 PM.
- Tues-Weds: 10 AM to 6 PM
- Thurs from: 10 AM to 4 PM
If you are looking for someone to talk to directly, I highly recommend seeking out Mike Rosenberg, who works on that team. I met Mike when he was working at Arity, and he is extremely knowledgeable in this area of Cloud Financial Management FinOps (AWS Cost Optimization). He’s literally a guru or wizard when it comes to managing AWS costs.
AWS Cost Optimization Guides from CloudForecast.
In addition to this, we also wrote up great articles and resources on AWS cost optimization:

- ECS Pricing and Container Optimization Guide
- CloudFront Pricing and Cost Optimization Guide
- S3 Pricing and Cost Optimization Guide
- EMR Cost Optimization Guide
